La mostra raccoglie duecento fotografie comparse nei primi, leggendari volumi a stampa pubblicati da Helmut Newton. Nel volume White Women (1976), il fotografo porta il nudo nell’estetica fashion, ottenendo immagini così sorprendenti e provocatorie da rivoluzionare il concetto stesso di fotografia di moda, fino a farsi testimonianza della trasformazione del ruolo della donna nella società occidentale.
The
exhibition brings together two hundred photographs appeared in the
first, legendary printed volumes published by Helmut Newton. In
the book White Women (1976), the photographer brings the bare aesthetic
fashion, obtaining such startling and provocative images to
revolutionize the concept of fashion photography, to be witness to the
transformation of the role of women in Western society.
