SCULTURES : IL CAVALLO DI NIC FIDDIAN

Nic Fiddian Green è nato nel Hampshire nel 1963. Si è laureato alla Wimbledon School of Art di Londra, con una laurea in scultura, ed ha continuato a conseguire il suo master alla Scuola di San Martino of Art, dove ha anche preso un Diploma in Advanced Fusion in cera persa. È noto come scultore equestre, lavorando principalmente in bronzo e in piombo battuto. Ha tenuto la sua prima mostra nel 1986, e da allora è in mostra regolarmente a Londra, New York e in Australia.

Nic Fiddian Green was born in Hampshire in 1963. He graduated from Wimbledon School of Art, London with a BA in Sculpture, and went on to attain his MA at St. Martin’s School of Art, where he also took a Diploma in Advanced Lost Wax Casting. He is best known as an equestrian sculptor, working primarily in bronze and in beaten lead. He held his first exhibition in 1986, and has since been in demand by galleries and collectors alike: his work is now shown regularly in London, New York and Australia. In addition he is well-known for carrying out major site-specific commissions: two recent monumental pieces have been Turning Horse for Glyndebourne Opera House in Sussex, and Horse’s Head in the Wind, for Treasury Holdings in Barrow Street, Dublin.
